The Digital Marketing Specialist plays a key role in shaping how a restaurant, club, or lounge is discovered, perceived, and experienced by guests online. This role supports the wider Sales, Marketing & Guest Experience function by turning brand strategy into engaging digital content, measurable campaigns, and consistent guest-facing communication that drives awareness, bookings, repeat visits, and loyalty.

This position typically sits within the Sales, Marketing & Guest Experience team and reports to the Marketing Manager, Head of Marketing, or Director of Sales & Marketing, depending on the size and structure of the venue. In some operations, the role also works closely with the General Manager, Events Manager, and Operations Team to ensure digital activity accurately reflects venue offerings, promotions, and standards.

Key areas of responsibility

  • Plan, create, schedule, and optimise content across social media, email, website, and digital advertising channels.
  • Manage the venue’s online presence, ensuring brand consistency, timely updates, and strong visual standards across all platforms.
  • Support campaigns for events, promotions, seasonal menus, private hire, memberships, and special experiences.
  • Monitor performance metrics such as reach, engagement, click-through rates, conversions, and return on ad spend, then adjust activity accordingly.
  • Coordinate with photographers, designers, influencers, and content creators to produce high-quality assets.
  • Respond to trends, guest feedback, and market activity to keep content relevant and competitive.
  • Work with reservations and guest experience teams to help convert online interest into visits, bookings, and repeat business.

The type of person who succeeds in this role

  • A creative, digitally savvy marketer with strong attention to detail and excellent written communication skills.
  • Someone who understands hospitality, guest behaviour, and the importance of brand tone in premium environments.
  • A proactive self-starter who can balance planning with fast turnaround delivery in a lively, time-sensitive setting.
  • An analytical thinker who can interpret data, test ideas, and continuously improve campaign performance.
  • A collaborative professional who works well across marketing, operations, and guest-facing teams to support business goals.
