The Brand Manager is responsible for shaping, protecting, and growing the venue’s brand across every guest touchpoint. In a restaurant, club, or lounge environment, this role ensures the brand is more than a visual identity: it is consistently expressed through marketing, guest experience, atmosphere, communications, events, and service standards. The Brand Manager helps translate the venue’s concept and commercial goals into a clear, compelling presence that attracts the right audience, builds loyalty, and drives revenue.

Position in the Organisation

The Brand Manager sits within the Sales, Marketing & Guest Experience function and works closely with operations, events, design, digital, and leadership teams to ensure brand consistency across all channels and experiences. In most venues, the role reports to the Marketing Director, Commercial Director, General Manager, or Owner/Managing Director, depending on the organisational structure. The Brand Manager is typically a cross-functional role that influences both strategy and execution.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Brand strategy and positioning: Define and maintain the venue’s brand identity, voice, image, and market positioning.
  • Marketing and communications: Oversee campaigns, promotional calendars, content direction, social media alignment, partnerships, and public-facing messaging.
  • Guest experience alignment: Ensure the guest journey reflects the brand promise, from first impression to post-visit engagement.
  • Creative coordination: Work with designers, photographers, content creators, and agencies to produce on-brand materials and campaigns.
  • Event and activation support: Shape special events, launches, collaborations, and seasonal programming to strengthen brand appeal.
  • Performance monitoring: Track brand awareness, audience engagement, campaign impact, and guest feedback to refine strategy.

The Ideal Person

The strongest Brand Manager is creative, commercially aware, and highly organised. They understand hospitality culture, guest psychology, and premium service expectations. They are confident working across multiple teams, managing stakeholders, and balancing brand standards with business objectives. Success in the role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, visual judgment, and the ability to turn ideas into memorable, revenue-generating guest experiences.
