A Photographer / Videographer in a club and nightlife venue is responsible for capturing the energy, atmosphere, people, and brand moments that define the guest experience. This role supports marketing, social media, promotions, and brand storytelling by producing high-quality visual content that showcases the venue in its best light while respecting guest privacy and venue standards. In a fast-paced nightlife environment, the Photographer / Videographer helps turn live experiences into powerful marketing assets that drive awareness, engagement, and repeat visits.
- Role in the organisation:
This position typically sits within the marketing, brand, or promotions function, working closely with the venue manager, marketing manager, social media team, and event/promotions team. In smaller operations, the role may report directly to the General Manager or Marketing Director. In larger venues, it may report to a Content Lead, Brand Manager, or Head of Marketing.
- Key responsibilities:
- Capture high-quality photos and video footage during club nights, special events, guest arrivals, performances, VIP moments, and branded activations.
- Produce content that aligns with the venue’s image, marketing campaigns, and social media strategy.
- Edit and deliver media promptly for use across digital channels, paid promotions, websites, event listings, and internal archives.
- Work discreetly and professionally in a crowded, high-energy environment while maintaining guest comfort and venue etiquette.
- Coordinate with promoters, DJs, entertainers, and management to identify key moments and ensure coverage of priority content.
- Maintain equipment, organise files, and uphold content quality, brand consistency, and legal/privacy guidelines.
- What success looks like:
The ideal person is creative, technically skilled, and highly adaptable under pressure. They understand nightlife culture, know how to work in low-light and high-motion conditions, and can anticipate moments before they happen. Strong communication, self-management, time discipline, and an eye for brand storytelling are essential. Success in this role also depends on professionalism, discretion, reliability, and the ability to deliver polished content quickly in a dynamic, late-night setting.
