The Valet Manager is responsible for creating a smooth, safe, and premium arrival and departure experience for guests, while ensuring valet operations support the overall flow, image, and service standards of the venue. This role sits within Support & Logistics and typically acts as the operational lead for all front-of-house vehicle movement, guest greeters, and curbside coordination. The Valet Manager usually reports to the Operations Manager, General Manager, or Director of Operations, depending on the venue structure.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing all valet activity, including vehicle intake, parking, retrieval, and traffic flow during peak service periods
  • Managing valet attendants, dispatchers, and curbside support staff, including scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management
  • Ensuring vehicles are handled with care, guest property is protected, and all parking procedures meet safety, insurance, and legal requirements
  • Coordinating with security, reception, guest relations, and management to maintain an efficient arrival experience and resolve issues quickly
  • Monitoring the curbside area for congestion, unauthorized parking, and service delays, especially during events, private bookings, and high-volume operations
  • Maintaining accurate records for keys, vehicle locations, incident reports, guest claims, tips, and cash handling where applicable
  • Upholding a polished, professional, and service-focused first impression that reflects the venue’s brand standards

The role succeeds when the person is:

  • Calm, organized, and highly dependable in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
  • Strong in team leadership, communication, and guest service recovery
  • Detail-oriented, with excellent judgment around vehicle safety, guest confidentiality, and operational control
  • Physically active and comfortable working outdoors, on their feet, and in changing conditions
  • Professional in appearance and demeanor, with a strong sense of accountability and hospitality standards

A successful Valet Manager combines logistical control with exceptional service awareness, ensuring guests feel welcomed and cared for from the moment they arrive until they depart.
